My free in-person college programs at the Dunlap Public Library have been suspended due to the COVID-19 measures.  There will be some Zoom sessions coming up, which are free and open to the public.  I will post dates here when the sessions are scheduled.  The library is located at 302 S. Many tests have been cancelled this year.  And the number of colleges going test optional or test blind has increased tremendously, leaving students who have tested wondering:  Should I submit my test scores or not?  This program will discuss the current testing situation and offer suggestions to sophomores, juniors, seniors & their families.  Email mweyeneth@dunlaplibrary.org to receive the Zoom meeting invitation.

Researching Colleges Virtually and through Visits

This program will help students and their families explore publication and on-line resources to learn about colleges and prepare for campus visits when they are available.  Volunteer? Work? Research? Summer is a great time to explore and gain experience that will help a student determine a career direction and get noticed by colleges. Make Your Summer Count for College & Career

Volunteer? Work? Research? Summer is a great time to explore and gain experience that will help a student determine a career direction and get noticed by colleges. This program will be helpful for parents and students in grades 8 - 11.​

It takes both time and money to tour college campuses. Is it worthwhile? When is the best time to visit? How early should you start? Find out how to develop a strategy for your family. This program is ideal for parents and students in grades 8 - 11.

It used to be your in-state college was the best value in higher education. Is that still the case? This presentation will look at need-based grants and merit-based scholarships to help families find the path that is best for them.  The information will be most helpful to parents of high school sophomores and juniors.
